Megan is a New York based performing artist originally from the Greater Philadelphia area. She moved to New York at the age of 18 to study at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan.
Megan was born in a small suburb: Levittown, in Bucks County Pennsylvania on April 23rd. Despite what you must be thinking, her love for the stage did not have anything to do with her sharing Shakespeare's birthday!.
Her mother was a professional singer for weddings, funerals, and other services, and her father had not a musical bone in his body. Although she dabbled in many things as a child, music, singing and performing were a constant, and eventually what she chose to make the most important part of her life.
Involved in choir from a young age in school and church, she continued singing in choirs throughout high school, becoming part of select groups, and even progressed to the PMEA All-State level of choral singing. She also participated in all of the musicals, and was a member of the marching band, playing clarinet. Megan graduated Neshaminy Highschool in Langhorne, PA.
Megan found herself majorly influenced by the work of Stephen Sondheim and Rodgers and Hammerstein in particular, and when she attended the CAP21 Pre-College Program at the age of 16 she learned for the first time how to advance her passion for singing and music by honing the craft of acting. The beauty of this realization has never wavered, and truly pushed her over the edge from theatre being a hobby to a passion and a lifestyle she could never step away from.
Megan is currently living in New York City. She trains in dance at Broadway Dance Center, and is enrolled in acting classes at The Pearl Theatre, as well as film classes at Weist-Barron Studios. She also has weekly voice lessons with her fabulous teacher Christian Fletcher, and takes regular yoga classes at Yoga to the People.
